Xmas knitting!

This is such a fun thing to knit. Casting on the ruffles is a nuisance but it's gonna be worth it.

Buttons and things

Buttons are finally on the cardi which was finished yonks ago!

They fit nicely into the eyelet pattern so no need to faff about with buttonholes yay!

It is a good cardi for snuggling teddy in.

Today I painted just with abi for the first time. It was wonderful to see how exciting and absorbing she found it

And really took me back to when dan was little too, and at that magical age when every experience is full of wonder

Oh, and the heel of dans Christmas stocking has been turned! I am going to my first ever knitting group tomorrow and hoping to learn how to graft my toe stitches more tidily.

Oh this is pretty

I don't know what to do with all this beauty. Just arranging it nicely in the basket is enough for now!

I have been good and knitted lots of the second longies leg. And the Christmas stocking is coming along nicely too

My big boy is back at school, which always sneaks up and takes me by surprise. But it did mean my girl and I could settle down for our first ever baking session

Bread and flapjacks. I was amazed at how much she was able to participate. And she didn't fall off the stool!

And here us my latest eBay victory which was so cheap I felt just a little guilty

More winter knitting

This still needs buttons but I am so pleased with it

It's from a vintage pattern which I love but had to adjust the sizing and decided to leave out some of the edging which would have been too fussy for this wool.

And it has a bit of growing room too, fab!

Today I bought 3 blankets. Something I started to regret on the bus home, but it was worth it! The second hand ones are currently drying, and abi is snuggling her luxury habitat one! Wish they'd had the same in a single size for dan.
